The Hospitality Sweet Expands With 2nd Location in Preston Center

To be doing what we love every day is a dream and to be opening a new, larger than ever location is incredible.” Adams opened her first retail location, The London Café in 2011 inside design store Timothy Oulton at Potter Square, followed by the opening of The Hospitality Sweet, a full-service café one year later offering breakfast, lunch, coffee and sweets.hospitality sweet 1

Designed by Kelly Mitchell of Mitchell Garman Architects, the new restaurant is designed to feel fresh while reflecting hints of femininity and rustic charm. The finish remains similar to the current space with white Cararra marble counters and table tops, dark wood floors and mint green accents throughout.  “When we designed our original space, I anticipated it being more of a bakery and coffee shop,” said Adams. “I never really imagined we would be doing as much lunch business as we do, and, needless to say, it’s what has really taken off.” The Preston Center location, almost three times the size of the space downtown, will be furnished with longer farmhouse tables to accomodate large groups. Both Mitchell and Adams were also adament on designing the kitchen to ensure it was more functional and efficient to fit daily operations.  While the kitchen is more removed from dining patrons than the downtown location, the feel of an open kitchen remains important to Adams. The addition of a large window in the kitchen area will allow guests to watch as their meals are HS3being prepared and pastries baked by Adams mother, Barbara, who has been whipping up macarons daily since the doors opened downtown in 2012.

Fans of The Hospitality Sweet will now have two places to go for delicious coffee, breakfast, lunch and more. “The lunch menu at Preston Center will look very similar to our current one,” says Adams. “However we’re working on a much more extensive breakfast menu that will include items like Eggs Florentine, Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes, and Cinnamon Hazelnut Buns with cream cheese frosting.”  Perfect for warmer days, Adams has plans to add  shaved ice to the Preston Center menu with gourmet flavors made in-house. Happy hour will be available at the second location with a menu Adams has been dreaming up ever since she saw it becoming a reality. “We plan to include Rosemary Donutes with prosciutto, fresh parmesan and drizzled olive oil; Vegetable Flatbread Pizza with pesto, zucchini strings, pine nuts, red peppers, caramelized onions, fresh mozzarella and drizzles of olive oil; and Mini Baked Bries with almonds, craisins, and jam,” said Adams.
